Land Acknowledgement
I humbly acknowledge that I live and practice as a birth and postpartum doula on the ancestral lands of the Ohlone, Muwekma, Miwok, and the Confederated Villages of Lisjan. These sacred territories have been lovingly stewarded by Indigenous peoples for generations, and I honor their enduring presence, wisdom, and resilience.
As I support the sacred journeys of birth and healing on this land, I do so with deep reverence and love for the land itself. This place holds me, teaches me, and continues to nurture life in all its forms. I am grateful every day for the opportunity to live, breathe, and practice in relationship with this land.
I also carry the presence of my own ancestors with me—whose strength, spirit, and traditions guide my work. I honor the ways they nurtured life, community, and ceremony across generations and across distance.
May we all remember that our healing and liberation are rooted in remembrance, reciprocity, and reverence. Let us continue to uplift Indigenous voices, honor our shared histories, and walk gently—guided by love, respect, and responsibility.
With a full heart, I offer this acknowledgment to the land, to this practice, and to our local and global communities—always.
Reconocimiento de Tierras
Reconozco humildemente que vivo y practico como doula de parto y posparto en las tierras ancestrales de los pueblos Ohlone, Muwekma, Miwok y las Aldeas Confederadas de Lisjan. Estas tierras sagradas han sido cuidadas con amor por los pueblos indígenas durante generaciones, y honro su presencia continua, su sabiduría y su resiliencia.
Mientras acompaño los viajes sagrados del nacimiento y la sanación en esta tierra, lo hago con profunda reverencia y amor por este territorio. Esta tierra me sostiene, me enseña y sigue nutriendo la vida en todas sus formas. Estoy profundamente agradecida por la oportunidad de vivir, respirar y practicar en relación con ella.
También llevo conmigo la presencia de mis propios ancestros, cuya fuerza, espíritu y tradiciones guían mi labor. Honro la manera en que ellos también cuidaron la vida, la comunidad y el ritual a lo largo de generaciones y distancias.
Recordemos que nuestra sanación y liberación están profundamente arraigadas en la memoria, la reciprocidad y la reverencia. Sigamos elevando las voces indígenas, honrando nuestras historias compartidas y caminando con amor, respeto y responsabilidad.
